She’s Beyond IMUN 2025: Empowering Youth Through Global Dialogue and Debate

What She’s Beyond IMUN Is??

She’s Beyond IMUN 2025 brought together a dynamic group of young delegates, thinkers, and change-makers from around the world to engage in thought-provoking discussions modelled after the United Nations framework. Organized by She’s Beyond,  the event aimed to amplify youth voices on global challenges through debate, diplomacy, and dialogue.

The conference reflected She’s Beyond’s ongoing commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on education, equality, and sustainable communities.

When and How It Was Conducted?

The She’s Beyond × IMUN Debate Conference 2025 was held virtually from October 2 to October 6, 2025, via Google Meet. Led by Event Lead Shafia Ahmad and Co-Lead Rana M. Asjad, under the guidance of She’s Beyond’s Founder Aiman Raza, the event featured three themed debate sessions addressing urgent global issues.

Judged by distinguished professionals including Khadija Iftikhar, Farheen Gul Qureshi, and Aimen Raza, each session provided a platform for delegates to engage critically, collaboratively, and compassionately on real-world problems.

Day 1 – Climate Change: Voices for a Sustainable Future

The opening session on October 2, 2025, focused on the global crisis of Climate Change. Judge Khadija Iftikhar, Founder & CEO of Eco-Revival Pakistan, applauded She’s Beyond for its climate awareness initiatives and reminded participants that “climate action begins with people, not policies.

Host Alyna Minhas set the tone for the session, introducing She’s Beyond’s vision of youth empowerment. Founder Aiman Raza delivered a powerful keynote, highlighting the shared responsibility to combat climate change and the need for sustainable innovation.

Delegates from Brazil, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Pakistan presented diverse perspectives on deforestation, pollution, and environmental justice, suggesting practical, cooperative solutions. The debate concluded with a call for global unity; “because climate change affects us all.”

Day 2 – Gender Equality: Building Inclusive Societies

The second session, held on October 3, 2025, explored Gender Equality; moderated by Amina and judged by Farheen Gul Qureshi. The debate opened with a powerful reminder that feminism is not about superiority or division, but about fairness, respect, and inclusion.

Delegates including Anfal Nadir, Vanessa Wilson, Grace Chika Agdobi, and Rabia addressed pressing global issues:

• The gender pay gap in South Korea, where women earn 68.8% of men’s income.

• Cultural restrictions on women’s leadership in Iran.

• The effects of gender-based violence on girls’ education and opportunities.

• Ethiopia’s inclusion of women in peacebuilding under UN Resolution 1325.

The session concluded with strong consensus that equality benefits every society economically, morally, and socially. Delegates proposed education, legal reform, and awareness campaigns as pathways to lasting change.

Day 3 – Gen Z: The Most Empowered or Misguided Generation?

The final debate on October 6, 2025, addressed the thought-provoking question: “Gen Z: The Most Empowered Generation or the Most Misguided?”

Team Empowered highlighted Gen Z’s technological fluency, activism, and global awareness, citing that 95% own smartphones and 70% engage in climate or equality initiatives. Team Misguided countered that overexposure to digital media fosters misinformation, distraction, and burnout.

The discussion concluded with a balanced reflection that empowerment and misguidance coexist, and purpose-driven focus is the key to meaningful leadership.
